Strictly speaking, perhaps you should not decide for those charactors as Ideograms.

We guess this is a language of the easiest to acquire for occidental peoples. Because this language calls itself a descendant of Latin.

There are full of consonants because this language was written with Arabic alphabet that has consonants only.
You put suitable vowels between the consonants, then pronounce.(it is too inconvenient?)
